Role: Director, Producer, Writer, Editor, 1st Director of Photography, Fight Choreographer Five Minutes Flat was the first purely action film for Nathan to put together. He is a huge action and martial arts movie fan, and he had originally got into filmmaking to make fight scenes back in 2001 (though it was more of a hobby then). Working with David gave him the opportunity to work with a talented and like minded person to try and create a very low budget, high quality action short. There were different challenges to over come, like fatigue of the actors, fast camera movement to catch the action without feeling nauseating, and telling a story with as little dialogue as possible. The editing aspect also proved to be more challenging than imagined, with many quick cuts and lining up of character motion. The film pushed Nathan's abilities, but he stayed head strong throughout the entire process and put in 100% effort to make the film the best it could be. As a writer for the film, he came up with the original idea and then worked with David to flesh it out. His goal was to tie in an emotional drive to the film, so the feelings of the main character could be felt by the audience. And of course he was eager to write and help choreograph the fight scenes. Nathan is available for all kinds of video and film work as listed above. Please contact him with inquiries. |
